Birdsitter - male only
Someone willing to take my precious baby off my hands and out of my husband's hair (literally) for a day or two at a time.
My cockatoo is awesome, but she's also a handful and loves my husband too much, so she never leaves him alone. I don't discriminate against ladies here, my cockatoo does. I'm one of the few women she tolerates - it often takes days or weeks for her to adjust to a new human lady. Guys however? This bird is worse than a hormone addled teenager. Can't get enough of them. Truly artless flirting from the word go.
She is very tolerant and rarely bites, unless she feels very threatened. Does not play nice with other birds though.
If you're lonely and want a day companion (either for yourself or someone else) every so often, one who loves scritches and sitting on your knee while you read or watch TV, she's good for that too.
Please be advised that she is a cockatoo, and with it comes the cockatoo traits of screaming loudly if she feels ignored, treating all wooden furniture like chew toys and pooping wherever she feels like it. ( I do have it timed though... if you see her poop, you will be safe for about 30 minutes).
A meet-n-greet and home inspection would be required, as most people have no idea how to bird-proof their homes and/or certain rooms, and I really want both parties to be happy about this.
