Teach you some basic American Sign Language and fingerspelling that you can use in everyday interactions with Deaf people. ❤️ Lessons are 45 minutes, and we will review basic fingerspelling, family signs, numbers, colors, animals, moods, basic greetings, and a few deaf culture norms that may be helpful to know. If you are already knowledgeable with a few of these, then we can spend our time on other types of vocabulary and discourse structure.
Training & Qualifications
I am a sigma language interpreter in the Washington DC area. I have been interpreting for about 10 years and have a degree in ASL- English interpretation. I am a freelance interpreter, working in Education, medical, government, and scientific settings.
