Permaculture Food: Grow & Preserve
20
Join the work team and learn while doing at Inventing Earth's home in Longmont, as we build raised bed gardens, turn the compost, create retaining walls of caged river stone, make custom stepping stones, and preserve the harvest, making apple sauce, pies, and so forth. We have different projects going on weekly. Bring a bunch of your friends and make up to 20 Simbi an hour and learn while doing at the magical Margaret on Atwood, an urban homestead.
Training & Qualifications
Ben and Greene grew up in rural New England, learning all the sustainable crafts they now practice, including sewing and hand sewing, growing and gathering food, cooking and food preserving, splitting wood, refinishing and fixing furniture, renovating houses, and the dozens of skills that keep together a home and ensure food security. They're turing their .25 acre home in Longmont into a teaching and learning center for sustainable food production as well as a home for their large scale opera and theatre projects.
