Learning to dance for your Wedding is a heart warming and special gift that you and your life partner will give to each other. A couple who feels confident and poised when they perform their first wedding dance together will ensure a memory that will be cherished and last a lifetime.
Learn to dance for your father/daughter, your mother/son, and your wedding party to expand the experience and make your wedding a memorable day for everyone! Or, you may have a another special function coming up or just for fun, private lessons will fulfil your dance desires and goals.
I will travel to your location or you travel to the Mississauga, Toronto, or Woodbridge dance studio. I will provide expert advice and guidance. I will provide a dance lesson or a routine (series of lessons) catered to your personality and chosen song for your wedding. Minimal experience is required as I will take you both past the 'two left feet' phenomenon.
Lessons are an hour and is via appointment at a dance studio. Lessons my also be on site upon request.
Training & Qualifications
I have been dancing approximately twenty years and as an Instructor for over fifteen years. I had a desire to learn Ballet while I was playing Sports in High School. I decided to concentrate on Sports and Kung Fu instead. I studied Coaching Methods and Theory through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and the Competency Based Education and Training Model (CBET). Along with Ballroom Dance Instruction, I am the Head Coach of the Scarborough Fencing Club. After many years of success in Sports and Martial Arts, I decided it was time to take up the Sport and Art of Ballroom Dance.
I first got introduced to Ballroom Dance with the International Style. I studied the International Style for about two years. Later, I was introduced to the American Style of Ballroom Dance. I have been concentrating and instructing in the American Style in both the Smooth and Rhythm Dances. In International Style, the two styles are referred to as Standard and Latin American Dances. I am proud to be able to dance both International and American Styles of Ballroom Dance.
I have taught with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and CK Dance Studio. I have participated in many Showcases with my students. I was awarded the "Top Teacher Award" in 2000. I have choreographed many routines, which includes several "First Dance" routines for Wedding Couples. On many occasions, I was Master Of Ceremonies and Disc Jockey at practice parties and many special Ballroom Dance events and Showcases.
I am motivated to continue passing on my knowledge and skills to those who wish to achieve a high level of Ballroom Dance!
