I recently took the path of minimalism, giving up on material things, as part (among other things) of a search for a more purposeful life, away from the cult of money, build on the indigence of the majority of people. The symbiotic economy is one of the way to disrupt the current system focusing only on a very few people (half the wealth in the world is owned by 8 individuals!). Everybody has skills, time or kindness to share. These are precious thigs to share and exchange without having to make intermediaries richer. We can all make each other richer, by offering our time.
