About Filamena Young
Hi! I'm a thirty something mom with three kids, a novel (or three) on the way, and 400 of other people's kid. (That is, I'm a teacher too!) I teach English as a second language in rural Japan. It's amazing. I understand how frustrating it can be for people communicating in a second language (my Japanese is just terrible,) and I have a real soft spot for helping out in that department. I believe everyone has a story inside themselves, and we shouldn't suffocate voices when we can build them up.
I've been a professional freelancer for the past ten years, writing fiction and doing game design. It's been a trip. Before that I've waited tables, worked as a spiritualist at an occult shop and a lot of other wild things along the way.
I love giant robots (mech) and small plastic toys of them. I love optimistic post apocalyptic stories. I love human beings.
