I will work with you to knit some snuggly warm adorable knit goods for your toddler/ child. This can include drafting unique patterns to assure you have a one-of-a-kind creation for whatever the occasion might be. Knitwear makes a great autumn - spring addition to your child's wardrobe, is long-wearing and easy to care for.
The idea of caring for knitwear can be intimidating for many parents, but I want to assure you there is nothing to fear! For children's clothes, I use hardy, washable yarn, and am careful to reinforce seams and weave in ends tightly to avoid accidental fraying or unraveling. The yarns I tend to prefer for children's garments and toys are super soft acrylics, but if you prefer something natural, would recommend cotton or bamboo, which are also washable and soft, but naturally sourced instead of synthetically processed.

Training & Qualifications
I have 23 years of experience knitting. I learned to knit first by drafting my own patterns, which I did for 15 years before learning how to read a pattern - this means I have a unique advantage in my ability to identify shapes and challenges and translate them to a pattern that comes together beautifully. I work in a variety of sizes of yarn and needles, and can create anything from fine lace work to bulky wintery knits.
Availability & Preferences
Evenings tend to be the best time to reach me. I am also available Mondays and Wednesdays, and tend to respond faster on these days.
