I am a certified birth doula with nearly a decade of experience supporting birthing women in hospitals, birth centers, and at home; through unmedicated births, epidurals, and cesareans. I especially love the education aspect of doula work - the part that happens before labor even begins - and enjoy walking couples through the many choices available to them.
To help you create your personal birth preferences I will meet with you for approximately 90 minutes. During that time I will listen to your desires for your birth, and walk you through a comprehensive list of birth-relates procedures to make sure you understand your options and can make informed decisions about your care. I will also provide examples of birth preferences that are easy for nurses and doctors to read through, as well as a list of hospital intake questions to ease your transition if you choose to birth in hospital.
I can meet with you anywhere you feel comfortable, whether that be your home, a library, or a coffee shop. I can also provide this service virtually via Skype, Hangouts, or FaceTime
Every birthing woman deserves support educationally, emotionally, and physically. I would love to help you as you begin planning your birthing journey!
