My name is Ellie and I am a Kindergarten teacher in Kalamazoo, MI. I have been a teacher for 9 years and have worked most with kids ages 2-7. I love working with young children and watching and helping minds grow and develop. I am particularly passionate about helping children understand their own and others feelings and develop their senses of empathy and emotional regulation to be the best version of themselves they can be!

I talk quite a bit with parents who feel overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of challenges parenthood can throw at you and I often say it's a shame there are less resources available to parents before and while they do one of the most important and underrated jobs in our society.

The main reason I'm on Simbi to hopefully fill in a bit of that gap and help some parents find peace around the parts of parenting that are stressful and confusing so they can enjoy more of the exciting, fun, and downright adorable moments!
