About Diego Kirsch

I grew up in the antiquarian book trade, the son of two booksellers, and am a fifth generation bookseller. It's now very difficult to retail books unless you’re catering to the extreme high end, so... with my extensive computer & IT background I started a Mac service and repair business in the late 90’s to supplement and quickly replace the book business. At the peak of the Mac service in the early two-thousands I had over 1,800 clients across north Georgia, mostly in the Music, Video, Science and Business fields. This formed the base for a lot of future connections and ventures. I have been in eCommerce since before eBay (I used to mail checks for my fees to AuctionWeb, now eBay) selling books and used Mac parts though newsgroups. In 2001 I got out of brick and mortar retail and transitioned completely to online sales and Asset Recovery, growing that company to 100,000 sqft and 45 employees over a few short years. Now I spend my time growing and marketing eCommerce brands, subscription services, and private label products. I’ve spent a lot of time working in Film and TV. As a side business I’ve been supplying vintage electronic props/set dec to Film and TV for over 15 years. I have made or helped make many small productions ranging from commercials, to Music Videos, to short films and a couple of Features and TV shows.
