I live in Sacramento with my amazing girlfriend. I am a California native from Davis. I manage a beautiful plant nursery here. I have been a nurseryman and gardener for over ten years. I also operate a garden service in the greater Sacramento area called Living Landscaping. Plants are my passion and pampering gardens is my profession. I practice plant identification and can recognize over 300 species. I'm happy to be of help bringing my skills and passion here to the Simbi community.
More about Living Landscaping:
Winter is here! Soil health is crucial for happy landscapes during winter. Microbes in soil create heat to keep plant roots alive in cold weather. Encouraging these microbes increases the health of your landscaping - especially plantings as recent as three years - to ensure success during extreme winter temperatures. Warming the ground can also promote planted annuals to return in spring and become biannual.
I can introduce and/or improve microbe health to your garden with soil amendments and compost. This is the best time of year to install new plantings. I work with a local plant nursery to select, deliver and install the best quality plants available. It is also a great time to prune, shape or cut back plants - especially deciduous trees and roses- to promote controlled growth next spring and summer.
I am an experienced gardener offering my skills for an incredible bargain. Living Landscaping is focused on plant and garden care. We are a green service, using only hand tools and old fashion hard work to get jobs done. Enjoy thorough plant care without the inconvenience of loud machines near your home and toxic exhaust near your plants. Our passion is plants, specialized in pruning, planting and pampering gardens.
Living Landscaping is a local service ran by a California native. Devin Thorpe grew up in Davis, C.A. where he spent a decade working in a plant nursery and gardens. A natural green thumb, he has planted or potted thousands of successful plants. Currently, at age 30, he is a plant nursery manager making $25/hr. He has recently expanded his skills into the Greater Sacramento area for a fraction of that cost.
