I'm sure you've heard of probiotics, right? They're beneficial micro-organisms that live inside of our bodies to help with digestion, health and a host of other things. Without those colonies, we are sick and unhealthy. Healthy gut flora is incredibly important and often overlooked in modern medicine.
I make yoghurt and kombucha, both of which are hosts to colonies of beneficial microorganisms. Making these yourselves is easy and extremely cost effective. For about $8 I can make about 4L of organic yoghurt with 2 ingredients. In my grocery store, this same quantity would cost over $20. Same with Kombucha, commercial store-bought stuff costs anywhere from $4-7 per bottle, and I can make about 4 bottles for the price of 2 teabags and half a cup of sugar.
In a short discussion, I will go over the specifics of creating yoghurt and kombucha, provide recipes and hopefully put you on a path to better, holistic health.
Training & Qualifications
I've been making my own yoghurt for about a year, and kombucha for about 5 years. I've had many successes and failures, and I hope to pass that knowledge on.
