About Dawn Ross

As an artist, I love drawing animals and scenery. My favorite animals are carnivorous animals such as tigers, wolves, and birds of prey. I also love drawing pet portraits. Cats, dogs, and horses are m...y specialty. I've painted in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, but pastel and colored pencils are my favorite mediums. I have also created art with paper. I draw shapes, such as cat, bird, tree, and other silhouettes and put the cut out stencil pieces together into a cohesive design. As a writer, I love writing fantasy and sci-fi. I've self-published a fantasy trilogy, but I've come to realize I need to work on my writing skills. I'm now working on a sci-fi, which I believe is turning out much better. I plan on my first sci-fi being published by the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017. Once this is done, I plan on revamping my fantasy trilogy. I'm a stay-at home foster mom. Although I am at home most of the day, I do run a small online business for selling pet travel supplies, such as dog seat belts. I was running this business almost full-time from when I started in 2006 to when I moved back to Kansas in 2015. Since I've become a foster parent, though, I've taken a step back from the business and am no longer marketing. The PetAutoSafety website is still active and still has products for sale.
