Highland Bagpipe Player

85 per unit - Virtual OK - Posted Nov 03, 2016

I have been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe for 15 years. I love playing for weddings, retirements, parties and special events. I can also play for memorials and funerals.

I love working with my clients to help create a one-of-a-kind events based on their needs and my experience and imagination.

Also, beginner lessons are available! I can get you started down the path to the enjoyment and satisfaction that comes with learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipes!

Learning to play takes time and commitment. But be forewarned; is not simple. But with practice, dedication and a good attitude, I can make it a reality!

My rates are flexible. Let me know what you have in mind, and I'm sure we can come up with something that will fit your schedule or event. I look forward to hearing from you!

Training & Qualifications

I learned to play in 2001. After several years of tuition, I went on top become a solo piper and a competitive piper in the Highland Pipe Band world for a number of years. I have taken on a number of students throughout this time also. I still teach some and play a number of events a year. In 2013, I stated a bagpipe band in Tieton, WA, and we're going strong today!

Availability & Preferences

Trading Preference: I’m flexible, just hit me up!

About Darin Record

I'm a 43 year old man, been married for 21 years, living in Central Washington State in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I enjoy all outdoor activities and I'm a machinist by trade during the day. Ev...ery day I learn something new. Piping is a big part of my life. Not only do I enjoy playing, I also enjoy bringing something to other peoples' lives as well. Adding that 'something special' to an event that may be fine without a piper, but a piper can add that special touch. I also enjoy helping people down the path to becoming a piper. Being able to show someone how fun and rewarding (and challenging!) piping can be. I also serve as the Pipe Major of a local babpipe and drums band. Since 2013, we've been performing at local functions and events, as well as regional highland games in Washington more
