I'm an RN-BC (board certified in pain management), an experienced travel nurse (+5 years), and I live in a tiny house! I'm hard of hearing and studying ASL since high school. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors (camping, hiking) or crafting, or cooking/baking.
Geez, 1400 characters? I'm used to a 200 character bio. can I just post an excerpt from some novel here or no, that's probably cheating.
Okay, More about my things: I graduated from nursing school in the mid-2000's, and have worked in 7 different states on both coasts of the country, as well as the heartland. I like the west coast best. My favorite sort of nursing is surgical floor nursing (ortho/neuro, bariatrics, gen-surg, trauma), but I've done a lot of different things. I'm specially called to pain management, having been someone who has lived with multiple chronic pain conditions since puberty (early onset sciatica, migraines, IBS and more).
I love to cook and especially bake- I was two years vegan, and half my meals still reflect the vegan/veg lifestyle- i love finding substitutions for things and making the recipe still bake. One of my family members can't eat gluten, so I also am getting better at GF baking. I ensured that my tiny house was built to incorporate a full kitchen (full sized fridge, oven and stove, not just a dorm fridge and hot plate). It would have been a deal breaker for me.
