Cynthia Negrón's early work on GOTV projects for COLOR and Working America (AFL-CIO) got her experience in the field and as a team leader. Later, her work as the Director of Legislative Affairs for th...e UC Denver Student Government primed her on the major issues affecting the State of Colorado, and gave her experience in policy analysis and lobbying. Over the years, Cynthia has decided to execute a model of organizing which places a high value on the intersectionality of issues, the need for inter-generational collaboration, and the value of knowing when to step up and when to step back. She is certain that her work in service of COLOR’s mission is in that spirit of organizing, and will affect change that empowers marginalized people.show more
