Dog Behavioral Advice
25
I will listen to your situation with your dog, and give you the best advice I can on why they are doing the problem behavior and ways to fix it. The fixes I recommend will be positive reinforcement only, so they should strengthen your bond with your dog! This includes (but is not limited to): crate training help, house training help, separation anxiety help, strange new behaviors, identifying and dealing with triggers, wariness towards strangers, introducing one animal to another, conquering a fear of a certain kind of people (for some dogs it’s men, women, tall people, men in hats, even people of a certain race, but they can all be improved on with a little work and patience!) excited urination, walking on leashes/loose leash walking, and getting your dog used to being touched and handled (paws, ears, tail, etc.).
Training & Qualifications
I rehabilitate rescue dogs with problem behaviors, and have worked closely with several trainers. I study animal behavior and have had great success with my rescues! I’ve done everything to teach a scared, elderly chihuahua rescued from a life of breeding in a puppy mill to use stairs and not be afraid of people and noises, to helping a different rescue who was surrendered four times by the age of three overcome his separation anxiety and fear of men. I’ve taught dogs how to walk on leashes, eat out of dog bowls they were previously scared of, and many other issues.
