So... you're tired of listening to the same old same old on your stereo, iPod, smartphone, or favorite streaming service? You want to expand your horizons and check out some of those albums that music lovers and critics feel are those must-hear, must-own albums? No problem! In a 15- to 30-minute conversation, we'll suss out what you're into musically, what you're interested in musically, and how you usually consume music (CD? Vinyl? MP3? iTunes? FLAC? Cassette?) and I'll take that information and pick out up to five essential albums that just might fit that missing piece in your music lover's DNA! (These lists will include links for both purchasing (digitally and physically) and streaming, so that you can check them out online before you go music shopping) My picks for you will most likely include critics' choices, fan favorites, albums with growing reps, underrated gems, and future classics! There are no boundaries when it comes to determining what makes a classic album, as you'll find out for yourself.
Training & Qualifications
I am a lifelong music lover and record/CD collector and a musician/songwriter with over 25 years of performing experience. I've also operated two music blogs (so far) in my time and written for another online music zine in the early 2000's. My own recorded music collection numbers in the thousands (and I'm still trying to catalog and inventory it all!) There isn't much musically that I don't like.
