Invasive Ivy Removal
25
I perform an initial triage / assessment of the land. First priority is to remove invasive seeds / berries; saving trees usually does this. Sometimes advanced bush-form ivy will flower.
“I'm a 66-year-old woman who cannot go off and live in the woods, but I was fascinated by your FB page. The articles really made me think about the state of the world ecologically. I don't know if you are merely eccentric or if you are a true child of the Earth, but either way, there should be more people like you to make us think about and question our place in nature.” -Minx M. (’16)
“It is very important to have people such as yourself make an honest integral change for the environment; we need more people like you to help nature maintain itself. Like an immune system, it can only be brought up and built up, by feeding it the right things.” (Dec. '17)
Training & Qualifications
I've been doing this since finishing up college. During the summer in 2013 I fulfilled a self-designed habitat restoration program in coordination with Lewis & Clark College's Sustainability Department. Now I've helped 1,500+ trees! <3
