There are many many types of meditation techniques, along the spectrum of woo-woo to scientific, moving to still, guided to silent. No matter the type, the benefits of meditation have been proven time and again. Based on a discussion of what you're looking for, I can be a guide for trying out a bunch of different types of meditation practices to see which one fits your lifestyle and personality. We'll start with the basics, we'll try out some short stints of meditation (2-10 minutes each, some through apps/websites, some led by me personally), and you can ask a bunch of questions!
If you've been wanting to create a meditation habit, we can also go through the steps of identifying ways to establish a routine and ritual that fits into your daily life, and ways to hold yourself accountable for sticking to it!
Training & Qualifications
I have been exploring different forms of meditation through yoga classes, meditation retreats, and personal experience for many years now. The way I approach learning anything new (be it trying a new recipe, dance, or meditation) is to search for and try out a bunch of different kinds to identify the necessary ingredients. I also have a background and degree in human-centered design, so know tips and tricks for creating lasting habits for positive behavior change.
