I am a visual artist and have created a group to help provide free art to all those in the community that just want to let loose for a while and tap into their creative side. We often hold exhibits and community events that I have helped organize. We are a small group that is not yet a non profit, so we have to be conscious of everything we spend. I am happy to say we have had some excellent events. We always have activities set up for the kids, give aways, food, etc.. without breaking the bank.

There is more experience I have that I consider a skill, because I have been fine tuning it over the years. I have 7 nieces and nephews combined, (of all age ranges) and have planned most if not all of their birthday parties. I have also fine tuned my face painting skills that I have learned to do. What a blessing that has been. It is a relatively easy skill to learn and much simpler than it looks. That is something else that I can teach you. Not only do the kids love the activity, but you save a ton of money over the years by just learning a simple skill.

When it comes to an event or party or dinner party, my experience once again has been very hands on. I have watched my mother and her friend (an interior designer) put together the most elaborate and elegant tables for dinner parties, organize adult birthday parties that you never want to leave, holiday events that were exciting and nostalgic.

I may not be as financially blessed as my parents were, but with my creativity, persistence, research, organizational skills (yes I'm a Virgo lol) and a good sense of money, I can throw a party that you can relax and have fun at without that terrible feeling of retail regret!
