JavaScript learning buddy (phone)
I'm looking for someone who's learning JavaScript and needs a coding buddy.
I know how to program (Perl's my favorite language, but I also know C, Ruby, PHP, Mathematica [my 2nd favorite language]), but I've always had an aversion to learning JavaScript, partially because I first used it when it was called NetScript (I'm really old), and didn't work that well.
However, I understand it works really well now, and with frameworks like JQuery, it can leverage the power of the user's computer so you're not always hammering your own server.
I'm looking for someone who's in a similar situation: you know how to program, but you haven't tackled JavaScript yet (or are just starting-- or are an expert who's willing to give me some help for free :) ).
I've found a great shared code writing site (https://codepad.remoteinterview.io/pads) where we can code together. The site does have a chat feature, but I think it'd be better if we chatted via phone.
