30 Minutes of Yin Yoga
15
I will design and guide you through a 30 minute Yin yoga session via YouTube. If you wish, you can provide problem areas to be worked on such as lower back, shoulders, legs, etc.
I will start the video with a short meditation, followed by a few minutes of warm up. I will then guide you through a Yin yoga routine, closing with savasana.
Yin yoga is a complementary practice to more active yogas, like Hatha or Bikram. Yin yoga focuses on strengthening your ligaments and connective tissues, rather than your muscles. Poses are held longer than Hatha yoga, up to 5 minutes per pose.
Yin yoga has a concept called "finding your edge". Getting into a pose is done in two stages. First, you do the pose as best you can, ensuring that you are putting in effort but not hurting. That is your edge. After staying there for about a minute, you might find that you aren't at your edge anymore, and you can go deeper into the pose. If you can't, that's fine too.

I have been practicing Yin yoga for two years, and am currently studying for yoga teacher certification from Aura Wellness Center. I am also studying transformation meditation, as well as mindfulness training.
