I specialize in building client-side interfaces using the latest front-end technologies like React.js and Angular.js. I strive to balance power with efficiency, building responsive applications that are both feature-heavy and resource-light. I'm also no stranger to back-end development, having build out applications in Node.js (Express.js), Ruby (Sinatra and Rails), and PHP (CodeIgniter).

My background is in research and analytics, having graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in Neuroscience and Psychology. Though my days of dissecting brains and performing surgeries (on rats!) are over, I will forever harbor an intense fascination for science and passion for propelling the world into a better tomorrow. To this day, I maintain my analytical eye and apply what I've learned about human nature and information processing into the applications I build.

In my free time, I listen to folk rock and tend to my garden. I'm a classically-trained pianist but a born percussionist. I love writing but haven't had much time for it in recent years; my last two recognized "pieces" have been a humor poem about a fictional encounter at a research conference (1), and a thinly-veiled rant against the MBTI, published in Quora's online blog on Forbes.com (2).
