Consult: Caring for an Aging Parent
50
I will discuss with you your family situation and the needs and challenges of your aging parents. You will come away with action items and resources to help you better cope with being a caregiver, ensure your loved one is in a safe environment, plan for the future, and better understand the needs and challenges facing your loved ones. I am not a medical professional, but we can review common medical issues that caregivers can watch out for, and I can coach you through how to discuss concerns with your loved ones' doctor.
I am based in central North Carolina. I can offer general caregiving advice anywhere in the world, but my knowledge of your local resources and cultural factors will be more limited the farther away you are.
If we can't find a mutually convenient time to chat, then I suggest using the free Marco Polo app which allows for a back and forth video conversation on your own time. I record when I have a chance, then you watch and respond when you have time.
