Have a question about a safety issue at work? Not sure if something that's happening is ok? You can ask me! I am a certified safety professional with a degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management.
Some questions might be:
- This is happening in my workplace, is it "legal" (according to US OSHA regs or best practices)
- Should I talk to my manager about what I saw happen?
- Should I contact OSHA? What will happen if I do?
- What is it like being a safety professional?
Most of my experience is in manufacturing, with some knowledge of construction. I am able to look up specific references for you if necessary. I am US based, have some knowledge of international best practices but cannot advise on regulations in other countries. Depending on your situation, industry, etc, I may not be able to advise you at all. This price is for about 15 minutes of time/work (aka 1 regulatory lookup, or 1 15 minute chat about an issue or problem.)
Training & Qualifications
I am a safety professional with 5 years experience, and a Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management. I am familiar with general industry regulations, and may be able to look up a specific regulation depending on your industry. I have the "Certified Safety Professional" certification from the BCSP and am a member and volunteer with the American Society of Safety Engineers. I am also a trained active listener.
