About Abdul Qabiz
I love building useful and meaningful products. I build some at my own company, and I help building some for fellow entrepreneurs/founders/startups/companies.
I have more than fifteen (15) years of... experience in internet technologies, web standards, open-source technologies (software/hardware), mobility and continuity solutions, cloud computing, distributed computing, video encoding and streaming technologies, business and product development, mentoring, training and consulting.
I am co-founder and chief-technology-officer (CTO) of Allies Interactive where build our own products, and also help startups/companies build their products. I help with technology strategy, implementation, keeping process and practices simple to produce elegant and high quality products, team-building, product development and business development.
I have helped startups as their engineering research and implementation partner. IndieReign (VoD portal) is one of those, where I have lead end-to-end technical architecture, implementation and strategy since it's inception. I also helped in Shift72 (evolved from IndieReign) with modular Widevine DRM (encryption and delivery), and Chromecast App.
1. Yahoo!: I worked on core platform components, and Yahoo! Avatars; it was one of the best experiences to work some of the best engineers back then.
2. Mixercast (tech startup): Back when startups were rare entitites in India, I got the opportunity to be part of one and contribute in many ways - architecture, writing code, suggesting and implementing new ideas, and so more. learnt about so many things (funding, venture capital, process/culture of tech startups, and lot more).
3. Macromedia/Adobe: It was a dream company for any passionate flash developer; I think, I was very lucky to work at mothership, and contributed to Macromedia Flex 1.5/2.0 software.
4. Tata Interactive: I enjoyed building various interactive e-Learning solutions and systems.show more
