This bleeding heart wall tile is made of a stoneware clay body that has been fired in my kiln at home. I utilize a wide variety of what are called "cold finishes" in my work. What this means is that instead of using glazes on my ceramic sculptures and art pieces, I use acrylic paints, pastels, water color paint, glass enamels, etc. On this piece, I've used professional artist grade acrylic paints and Pan Pastels. It's then been sealed with a matte Mod Podge spray on sealant. It stands approximately 1" from the wall, and measures 5"x 8". In the back is picture wire to make hanging easy.
