The handmade paper in this product made from the bark of the daphne cannabina or daphne papyracea. Locally known as "Lokta" which is found at an altitude of 6500 feet to 9500 feet. The "Lokta" has the characteristic of regenerating again after 6 to 8 years of cutting thus preserving the fragile Himalayan Ecology.
This paper is strong an durable. It has inherent natural resistance to worms and insects. This Product is made by Village women's of Nepal.

Other reviews indicate River is great to work with but I got nothing but delays, cold communication and then no response or explanation for over a wee...k. I would not recommend her services. I am out the money I sent her to ship a parcel months ago that I still have not recieved, but at least I kept the Simbi. I will update this if the supposed parcel she sent in September ever arrives.show more
