About Patrick Walker

I'm a self-taught blacksmith from Tallahassee, FL. Metal has always been my preferred medium. I also teach knife and tomahawk throwing, but I definitely prefer to provide an environment for learning, ...so a student can teach themselves, than outline my exact preferences, or force a person to learn my way. At my Campus in Centerville Arkansas, The Earth Horse Institute, we teach a skill set that involves making every single tool needed to forge, cook, build everything we teach, including but not Limited to ; Blacksmithing Earthbuilding Knife Throwing Artisanal Bread Baking Foraging Workshops available To anyone not enrolled, at least once a month. This program offers no certifications, no degrees or accolades beyond a touchmark received upon graduation, allowing the student to sell items produced on our online store, Indefinitely. This dynamic allows allows one to graduate with a skill AND a market, possibly one in which they've been selling in during their entire enrollment, should they elect to produce extra items outside the curriculum. We don't believe in pieces of paper that claim skill. We don't believe that a person needs to go buy things that can be made by hand, nor the idea that its sustainable to rely on anyone but yourself regarding the supply of your food. It all Takes WORK! But Work is something I can say we believe in, way more than a degree. Links below to my Facebook business page ; FoxSquirrelForge also FoxSquirrelForge@etsy show more
