Public vs Private Groups - what’s the difference?
Public Groups are listed on simbi.com/groups for any member to view and join. Private Groups are unlisted so that members of a Private Group can keep their URL a secret.
Can I make a Group for my company?
Absolutely! Simbi groups are ideal for medium to large companies where employees don’t all know each other. Not only are Groups excellent for team building, they also promote cross departmental collaboration and skills training.
How much effort does it take to manage Groups?
Groups require very little management beyond the original recruitment of members. The creator of a Group is responsible for getting enough initial traction for the Group to take off. The minimum Group size is 10 -- Groups that don't reach 10 members in 10 days are deleted.
Do I get anything for recruiting people to join?
The biggest benefit of getting people to join is more talent within your Group. But you also earn up to 50 simbi credits if the person you recruit is new to Simbi and joins with your referral link. You get 25 simbi when they join, and 25 more when they make their first deal.
Do I get to choose my Group's URL??
Simbi Groups operate on a subdomain: GroupName.simbi.com. If you would like to use a specific subdomain for your groups, please indicate so when filling out the Group Creation Form. Once you have your subdomain, you are welcome to set up a URL with a redirect for a fully customized domain.
How do I invite people to my Group?
You earn simbi credits if people join your Group with your Group referral link. You can find it on your Invite to Group page located in the main menu. Share the link and you’ll earn up to 50 simbi per new member you recruit.
