Feeling like you want to make a change that is healthy for you, the planet, and our animal friends? Did you, a close friend, or family member recently go vegan or vegetarian? Do you want to begin a plant-based diet, but have reservations, questions, or concerns? Worried about getting through the holidays, talking to aggressive omnivores, or raising children? It's hard and at time can seem overwhelming to quit using animal products, but anyone can do it. If you need some motivation, don't know how to start, or wonder if something is vegan I'm here to help. You don't have to be super strict about it, and can start just by shrinking your current portion sizes. The point is to have fun and enjoy your food while still having fun with your carnivorous friends.
I would like to assist anyone who is transitioning to a plant-based diet, those who are curious, or even other vegans or vegetarians using my life experiences to help you navigate the plant-based world. If you're currently eating plant-based and are having trouble getting proper nutrients, I can provide advice with this as well. Start by informing me of your current eating habits, then we can discuss where you want to go from there and how you can do so most easily.
The information I provide will be based upon empirical science and free of industrial-biased pseudosciences. If you are new to a plant-based diet, and would like some recommendations of product brands, etc, I will be happy to help you navigate the plant-based world. I can also provide information on how to keep costs low. I do not specialize in meal planning or recipes, however, there are a number of other Simbi members that already do. My end goal is scientifically empowering you to be able to create your own meals.
If it's simply curiosity, and you are not looking to make any full blown transitions, I will answer any questions you have about following a plant-based diet; whether it's diet-related, lifestyle-related, something about my transition, what it's like to be a vegetarian, or maybe you're just curious if I fit your stereotypes. I believe there are many misunderstandings about being a vegetarian, or being a vegan, and would love to show you the difference. You can ask for facts, personal experience, or simply my opinion. Pretty much nothing is off limits.
When it comes to taste we have to understand that taste is a learned behavior, the healthier we eat, the more we notice the effects and tastes that unhealthy foods have on us. We essentially have to reset our baseline, as this is the biggest disruption to the mental aspects of creating the new habits of maintaining a plant-based diet.
We were not born liking one thing over another, our body learned, over hundreds of thousands of years, what it is able to extract out of the foods we have offered it and it naturally craves for foods that will keep it healthy. Our diet essentially all comes down to nutrients to offer it. These nutrients are extracted from within the enzymes absorbed as it travels our digestive tracts. We get this through consuming a variety of colors to sustain the greatest diversity of vitamins and nutrients.
As we begin to understand our own health through a whole mind-body perception we begin to feel more empowered to continue forward with confidence breaking free from any residual unhealthy habits or self-defeating thought processes we may still hold as we . When it comes to what you bite, chew, and swallow, your choices have a direct and long-lasting effect on the most powerful organ in your body: your brain. Training & Qualifications
I have always been very health conscious, and have done a lot of research on food and nutrition over the years, and I would be happy to help others along their path. I'm very scientifically-minded, so I enjoy researching health, and have grown my knowledge about plant-based diets greatly over the last few years. I'm not a health professional, this is my knowledge from personal experiences, observations, and research. I have also learned many methods of finding the root cause of a problem and multiple methods of clearing and healing those root causes.
My health is retained with a micro & macro nutrient dense whole foods plant-based diet and by MINIMIZING processed, chemically laden, and/or GMO altered food-like products. I have spent two years as a vegetarian eating a full spectrum of colors, without any animal products except honey, and haven't looked back. I eat a Gluten and Casein free diet mixing multiple types of flours to maintain the best variety of vitamins and minerals. I only consume natural sugars: Honey, Maple Syrup, Coconut sugar, date paste/syrup, and fruits.
I currently consume my foods either raw, steamed, sauteed, or baked at low temperatures. I only drink living water from tested artesian wells that haven't been contaminated with fluoride or other industrial waste byproducts or pesticides and fertilizers. I don't drink coffee (preference not health), but I do drink multiple types of teas, often mixed with spices too.
I bless or "pray over my food" with loving intentions by thanking the Universe and the farmers, for what I don't grow myself, before I consume them, which beneficially changes the molecular structure. I have helped and inspired many others to overcome their perceived problems and raise their vibrations.
Availability & Preferences
I have a family so I work everything around those obligations. Without previous planning, I'm usually available periodically throughout the day: typically during my child's naps, evenings, and weekends.

I personally have great difficulty wrapping my head around the concept of withholding, or denying, an individual or even the whole of the planet, from something that is essential for survival or the opportunity to thrive. Simply because their financial flow is blocked for whatever reason, currently keeping petty symbols of currency, which are nothing more than arbitrarily assigned "values", unavailable to them.
