Pastel chalk lesson (basic)
Adults, teens, and pre-teens.
If you love to draw and want to work in a more vibrant medium, pastels are for you! In one lesson, I'll teach you how to work with hard and soft artist pastels. Line, fill, mix and blend.
But first you'll need supplies! First lesson will be to meet at Hobby Lobby and I'll assist you in picking what you need. We'll discuss the options available and some cheaper alternatives to blenders and papers.
After these two lessons you're on your own but you're free to send me messages for a couple weeks after with questions.
Training & Qualifications
I've been playing with pastels since 3rd grade when I won the Crayola Dream Markers award. A set was included in my prize pack. I took art serious from high school on and minored in it, plus architecture, in undergrad. I'm now a part of a professional artists' guild.
I don't teach drawing basics, but you don't need them to play with pastels. I love sharing this under- appreciated medium.
Availability & Preferences
I have a shifting schedule but I have 2 week days off every week, and most weekends open.
