Patient, fun and compassionate teacher for beginning and intermediate piano and guitar. Theory, chords, improvisation, song writing. I also teach beginning ukulele. I can come to your home or work as I do not have my studio set up at this time. I have 20 years experience teaching piano.
Training & Qualifications
I learned as an adult (at 42 years old). I studied with Jody Keppen for 2 years and Portland State University with Rein Vaga and Harold Gray for 2 years and various other teachers. I have been teaching piano professionally since 1999; guitar since 2004 and ukulele since 2010. I can also introduce other instruments such as bass guitar or basic drumming for variety. I have been in 3 musicals at Clark College as a singer dancer - Funny Thing happened on the way to the forum, Carousel and Evita.
Availability & Preferences
depends on the day but I have free time in mornings and afternoons and evenings working around my current student commitments.
