SEWING AND DESIGN: I have more than ten years of experience with sewing, fashion design, and flat pattern drafting. I spent one year working as a contract seamstress for Ciarla designs LLC (bridal and cocktail), where I worked exclusively with silks. I continue to provide informal consultations for bridal and garment sewing, while working at Pacific Fabric & Crafts, often in their Galleria. I also have 6 years of experience with embroidery digitization software. LANGUAGE: I am a graduate student in historical Chinese linguistics, and have studied Japanese, Spanish, and American Sign Language as well. I have a BA in Linguistics and East Asian Studies, with minors in Chinese and Japanese languages.
