About Tim Salau
My life purpose is to strengthen the connections that we share through genuine and empathic actions.
I am a Mountain View-based self-taught experience designer with 5 years of experience in projects... involving brand direction, championing design thinking with strategy, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Currently, I am a Master's candidate at the University of Texas, UX Designer at the School of Information IT suite, and UX intern at Google, a company considered to be our world's most valuable brand. Before my positions at Google, GSD&M, and the University of Texas, I was a UX Intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). At PNNL, I applied UX methodologies to design and humanize internal enterprise applications for their IT department.
As design thinker, my skills and process revolve around people; consequently, I adhere to an iterative process over quick and invalidated results. My belief is that by articulating the right problem, designers can architect solutions ingrained with empathy and genuine intent. I am an asset to any creative or product team in search of burgeoning diverse talent with disruptive ideas and intense work ethic. I believe that by balancing business objectives, executing on product vision, and obsessively prioritizing consumers, genuine brands remain innovative and successful.
