I'm a former biochemist and self taught developer who found her true passion in application development. In work as a "former scientist", I had to use a lot of clunky and counter -intuitive biotechnology devices and software. Curious to know how these programs worked the way they do, my instinct told me that I could make it better. I started teaching myself a combination of web technologies and programming languages along with understanding how to do basic design. I love the combination of creative, analytical, and logical problem solving skills I get to use when writing code or doing IT work. And I love how there's always more to learn.
