Tara has experience in treating a wide variety of conditions such as autoimmune, musculoskeletal, psychological, pain management, gynecological, fertility disorders, weight loss, cosmetic and more. Your treatment will include your medical intake and an acupuncture treatment totaling around 1 hour and 30 min. Depending on your diagnosis Tara may also perform adjunct healing modalities such as cupping, electro acupuncture, auricular, moxibustion, diet, exercise, and stress management recommendations to enhance your treatment success.
Acupuncture is a gentle yet effective healing method therefore a minimum of 6 treatments, having at least one per week, is more than likely the minimum requirement to achieve long term results.
Training & Qualifications
Tara earned her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in August 2016. The 3-year program consists of over 2265 credit hours of theory and 525 hours of clinical practice. The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certified her as a Diplomat in Acupuncture in September 2016. Tara was also certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Clean Needle Technique in April 2016. She holds a professional membership in the Colorado State Acupuncture Association and the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Tara is a registered acupuncturist in Colorado. Tara’s training also includes cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, cosmetic acupuncture, acupressure, auriculotherapy, injection therapy, tui na, tai qi, qi gong, dietary therapy, and lifestyle recommendations.
