About Tanner Morrill

I have experience working as a geologist in a porphyry mining environment while mapping and examining core. I have examined core and overall geology at several porphyry mines in Chile and as an inte...rn at Rio Tinto's Kennecott Bingham Canyon Copper Mine. At Rio Tinto, I examined core and packaged core samples for assay and also met all weekly goals as I mapped high walls without injury to myself or team during my tenure. I actively seek opportunities, field trips and courses about geology. I recently spent several days as a field assistant collecting data about sedimentary beds in the Kaiparowits Plateau in Southern Utah. I attend geological conferences and field courses, most recently to Chile's porphyry systems wtih Dr. William Chavez of New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. I am open to a career in any sector of geology, including but not limited to mining, environmental consulting, industrial minerals, soil sampling, base metals, and oil & gas. I have gained valuable experience in operations and management through working at Tai Pan Trading and the US Census Bureau. show more
