I have helped over 50 people with their paperwork to file for a legal name change. The process is quite complicated, so I print all the papers you'll need, help you fill them out, notarize them (I am a certified notary), and give detailed instructions on how to file with SLED, DSS, and Greenville Family Court to get a hearing for the change. Before I can meet with you, know that you must be 18+, have a birth certificate ordered within the last year (you can order one for $12-$35, depending on your state of birth), a valid photo ID, stamps (8), envelopes (4 large Manilla) and the money orders needed ($25, $8, and $150). I'll walk you through all of it.
This is for adults legally changing their name permanently (not because of marriage), for example transgender persons.
