About Shue LaRue

I grew up in an enormous, scientific, do-it-yourself household. We didn't have a TV, but our house was chock full o' books and music and experiments and stories and countless negotiations. Think "Ca...ptain Fantastic". Looking back I realize what a huge gift my upbringing was, how it refocused and shifted what could have been an ordinary life. From 4 years old, I learned to appreciate change and seek adventure. If you are curious and exploratory and proactive and self-reliant, Life is your school. In my family the experts were the Finder, the Letter Writer, the Scary Storyteller, the Map Reader, the Rebel, the Mechanical Tinkerer, the Adopter of Strays, the Artistic Doodler, the Photographer, the Word-Twister, the Performer, and the Minister of Fun. You probably have something similar with your family. When everyone has a specialty, bartering your specialty is practical, efficient, and makes good business sense. It gives us all the opportunity to consult with the experts. I'm a photographer, writer, enjoyer of music, creator of compilations and silly songs, a yogi, a chef, feng shui practitioner, reflexologist, candle-maker, jewelry-maker, traveler, brainstormer, mover and shaker. I love to master something new, and then pass it on to others. And I love to learn from others who are passionate experts in some field or skill that I don't have.show more
