Certified Home Care Aid Services
I will come to your home in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle and provide temporary care for yourself or a loved one with a disability. I can provide personal care assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including transferring, gait assistance, toileting, passive range of motion, meal prep/eating, and other activities such as laundry (though I warn you I am terrible at folding), dish washing, or shopping/running errands.
I currently provide home care for my disabled girlfriend when I'm not at work. In addition to working for Simbi, I am also interested in arranging with another home care aid for occasional informal swapping where I'll take care of your loved one for a little while if you will occasionally do the same for me. Sometimes my girlfriend needs 30-60 minutes of help in the middle of the day while I am at work.
I will not:
Clean your house (straightening up is okay)
Work regularly for you (unless we arrange a service trade) or for money (I already have a job)
Do anything that exposes me, you, or anyone else to danger or financial liability
Training & Qualifications
I have worked as a Certified Home Care Aid for 6 years and have cared for dozens of clients. I currently work as a phlebotomist, but that's not a skill that lends itself to side gigs. ;)
Availability & Preferences
I am available most evenings and many days of the week with notice. Depends on length of commitment.
About Sean Butterfield
I work as a phlebotomist for the local blood bank in Seattle and live with my fiance Charity and dog Lucy on Capitol Hill in Seattle. I'm from Virginia, where I graduated from UVa with a degree in Bi...ochemistry in 2008, just in time to have zero economic opportunity, so I've been kind of spinning my wheels since then, professionally speaking. But I've been happy here in Seattle for the past 7 years, and I like my job. I am trying to be more social, so hopefully this will help me make a few friends as well. My fiance Charity loves to meet new people, but she has a disability and uses a wheelchair, which sometimes makes that more difficult. I am super interested in meeting simbi users who might want to come and play board games or do various activities around Capitol Hill with us or with her when I can't be around. Sometimes she gets bored, and I'm a hermit recluse type, and I'm hoping this will be fun for her too.show moreOpen to other proposals
