Certified Home Care Aid Services
60
I will come to your home in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle and provide temporary care for yourself or a loved one with a disability. I can provide personal care assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including transferring, gait assistance, toileting, passive range of motion, meal prep/eating, and other activities such as laundry (though I warn you I am terrible at folding), dish washing, or shopping/running errands.
SERVICE TRADING:
I currently provide home care for my disabled girlfriend when I'm not at work. In addition to working for Simbi, I am also interested in arranging with another home care aid for occasional informal swapping where I'll take care of your loved one for a little while if you will occasionally do the same for me. Sometimes my girlfriend needs 30-60 minutes of help in the middle of the day while I am at work.
I will not:
Clean your house (straightening up is okay)
Administer medications
Work regularly for you (unless we arrange a service trade) or for money (I already have a job)
Do anything that exposes me, you, or anyone else to danger or financial liability
Training & Qualifications
I have worked as a Certified Home Care Aid for 6 years and have cared for dozens of clients. I currently work as a phlebotomist, but that's not a skill that lends itself to side gigs. ;)
Availability & Preferences
I am available most evenings and many days of the week with notice. Depends on length of commitment.
