Flute Lessons: ~Intermediate

30

30 per hour - Virtual OK - Posted Mar 05, 2017

I can give half hour or hour long private Flute lessons over Skype. I'm very comfortable fully teaching beginner through intermediate levels, but above that it would be more like peer coaching. I can help you get started, I can help you progress, I can help with specific pieces or repertoire, and I can help with virtually anything you may need. I can also just listen to you play something and give feedback or advice. I offer lessons both on an ongoing basis and one-time things; I'm willing to give you as many lessons as you'd like. If there's any other specific things you need that I didn't mention, please feel free to message me -- chances are, I can help you! My lessons are very laid back in nature. I believe that people learn best in a relaxed, judgment-free environment, so I do my best to create that.

Training & Qualifications

I have been playing for about seven years. I'm going to be the first chair (top player) in my school's top band; the top band is going to nationals this year and is a showcase band, meaning they were hand-selected to perform for being the best of the best. I have some experience in giving private lessons, mostly to beginners. I am a section leader for my school's marching band, meaning that it was my job to ensure that everyone learned their music.

Availability & Preferences

I'm usually free during the weekend, but I have some scattered free time throughout the week, as well.

Trading Preference: I prefer being paid in simbi

I'm excited to help people in whatever way I can, and I love the idea of trading services rather than money. I have things to offer people, and now I can use that.

About Sarava Watson

Hello! I'm Sarava. I love reading, writing, music, and band. My favorite book at the moment is Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson, and my favorite movie of all time is The Sound of Music. I like vir...tually any style of music, but right now I'm really into the artist Bastille. My favorite song from them is Good Grief. I play the Flute and Alto Saxophone, but Flute is my main instrument. I've been playing for about seven years, and I'm going to be the first chair (top player) in my school's top band, called Wind Ensemble. Wind Ensemble is going to nationals this year, and is a showcase band, meaning they were hand selected to perform for being the best of the best. I also run a blog called Learning to Live: Lessons From an Almost-Adult. I post tutorials, advice, success stories, positivity, and anything else that I think someone may benefit from reading. It's new, so it's just getting started, but I'm very excited about it and I think it's going to do well in the future. I also really enjoy paddle boarding and swimming, but I don't have the opportunity to go too often. I'm in my school's marching band, which took first in state this last season with a record-breaking score of 90.3. It was a huge deal for us, as we had taken second behind another school for several years now. I also consider myself a fairly outgoing person. I love talking to new people, and I love learning about things from someone else.show more
