About Samuel Crossley
When he’s not working on short films, Samuel Crossley is hanging 2,000 feet in the air with his camera lens framed on fellow climbers and top athletes. Stumbling upon climbing his freshman year of college, he fell in love with the sport and combined climbing with his love for photography and cinematography. Recognized for his work as the director of photography on ‘Sufferfest 2: Desert Alpine’, and having previously worked on the original 'Sufferfest' as a cameraman and assistant editor, he has since worked with clients such as National Geographic, Google, The North Face, REI, Red Bull Media House and ABC News among others. Samuel’s extensive knowledge and skill with cameras and lighting has made him a hot commodity in the filmmaking business where he gets to travel all over the world doing what he loves most. His films have screened internationally, won numerous awards and earned him Q&As at film festivals. He’s also pretty great with puns and loves making cookies.
