As a student in a writing-intensive discipline at a top research university, I am uniquely qualified to provide proofreading and assistance with both academic and lay writing. In social-scientific and historical work, I can also serve as a fact-checker. My proofreading focuses on grammar, organization, argumentative solidity, and stylistic fluency, but given a set of criteria you would like me to focus on I can easily work to those specifications instead. I use the Chicago Manual of Style normally, but can use any style manual.
I can proofread a Google Document, shared to my e-mail address, or any .doc file. I will use the Track Edits and Comment tools provided in both programs, and provide a written summary of my edits and the weak and strong points of the writing. I can promise to take no more than a half hour per page, depending on the content and the extent of the edits required of me.
