I can help you with mig, tig and arc welding, as well as general and specialized metal fabrication, design, and consulting. I work with aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel and cast iron. I use gears and pulleys, chains and cables. I like making things that will stand the test of time, and not fail. I also like to incorporate renewable energy into projects that require electricity, and I am no stranger to the electric motor, and efficient design. to give you an idea of my current projects, I have been working on sustainable transportation, namely the electric bike. To make an electric bike that could be used to tour the country, a dream I have been actively pursuing for about 6 years, you need some kind of energy input. my plan is to build a solar trailer that will go behind my electric bike, allowing the battery to be charged along the way, so long as the sun shines. I'd love to help you with a project that make ecological and sustainable sense. Lets work together!
Training & Qualifications
I am self taught. Ive learned through trial and error, and watching many instruction videos and reading several books about metal working. I started welding in high school, and have about 15 years experience in welding and metal fabrication, and about 6 years experience in engineering and design.
Availability & Preferences
as I am a bike mechanic on Wednesdays and Sundays, I won't be able to help on those days. open on most others days. I will be on a trip between august 10th and late October, so I won't be able to help during that time.
