I have been working in public communications for a number of years and have a lot of experience with web development and social media marketing. This includes basics in HTML and CSS and marketing plans for most social media platforms. I am also a blogger and have a lot of experience using WordPress. I can advise and/or help start up websites and social media accounts. I also have experience in online fundraising campaigns.
I am a recent graduate (December 2015) of The Ohio State University, where I studied global politics, international relations and diplomacy, and peace and conflict studies leading to a BA in Political... Science and a minor in International Studies. My passions lie in international development and humanitarian action, most specifically working with refugees. The majority of my job experience is within refugee services in the United States, but I also have experience in academic research. My plans for the future are to pursue a graduate degree abroad in Humanitarian Action. Upon obtaining a Master's degree, I plan to gain an entry level job with a large INGO, such as the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC), the International Rescue Committee (IRC), or Church World Service (CWS). Ultimately, I would like to work for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).show more
