Eng-Spa/Spa-Eng translation

Whether you need help with written or oral texts, I'm your person! I work full time, am engaged in my community and working toward starting my own business. That said, the lengthier your translation needs, the more time it might take to complete as I'll probably split it into several days. I can either commit to do hourly sessions of real time (oral or written translation) or written translations that are not needed immediately, but in the course of several days. If you are a student and need help with homework, I'd rather do a skype session to make sure I can educate you. Finally, if you just want to practice and chat, I'm here for you as well!! I'll make a general outline of the areas your Spanish could improve and provide you with some tools and resources that you might find helpful.
Training & Qualifications
I am bilingual and biliterate (Eng-Spa). I graduated from high school in Ecuador, where I also completed two years of philosophy studies. Though I am not an academic in "Castellano", I learned the parts of the language growing up and supplemented my understanding of it by studying Latin and Greek. I arrived in the US about 7 years ago and graduated from a small liberal arts college in Washington State with a degree in biology. My parents, being monolingual themselves (when they felt like it), were the reason I have been translating at job interviews; meetings; doctor's, plumber's, banker's appointments; TV shows, etc for almost seven years. My default language at home is Spanish and English everywhere else, so I am used to switching between languages. I have taught Workplace Spanish classes for non-Spanish speakers and I am looking forward to awesome translation experiences with you, brave Simbi peeps!
