About Nancy Aranda
My ideal is when I can synergize my international work experience, academic knowledge, love of finance and analytics with my passion to help others. Currently a Senior Economics major with a Business Administration minor at UT Austin, I have had amazing career experiences such as serving as a Commodity Trader in Mexico, specializing in U.S., EU, Chinese, and Mexican markets. Despite being one of the youngest members on the team, I was selected for a major board presentation.
In Spain I worked as a Financial Analyst, developing detailed market analysis, feasibility studies, and developing innovative trading strategies. I have worked and studied in the US, Mexico, Spain, Ireland, and Australia — developing strong communication, teamwork, negotiation, and consensus gaining talents.
SELECT ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Helped create and implement successful networking and learning events for UT students, C-Level executives, and VIP alumni with key topics including investments, wealth management, financial analysis, risk mitigation, trading, and mutual funds.
• Volunteered at several orphanages in Mexico, using my leadership and teamwork abilities to lead a team of volunteers to develop and execute successful fundraising events.
• Collaborated with a cross functional team of experts in tax, accounting, and business development to perform risk assessments, market feasibility studies, competitive analysis, forecasting, ROI studies, P&L, and tax issues.
• Worked with renowned companies and global distributors after careful analysis of commodity prices in both London and New York in forecasting futures and devising optimal trading strategies.
