Dungeons and Dragons
Want to play D&D, but don't have time for a campaign, or a Dungeon Master to run it? I can help out! I've been DMing for over a decade now, and I'm pretty good at it. I can run one-off games with you and up to five friends (4-5 players is ideal). My preferred edition is 5th, though I can also run 3.5 just fine. Sessions usually last 3-5 hours, so plan accordingly. (Snacks are always a good idea.)
Get in touch with me, and we can figure out all the details- whether I bring premade characters or you guys make them, who provides the dice, so on and so forth.
Never played before? You can find the basic rules at http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules.
I can also run sessions for pre-existing groups, if you're just looking for someone to cover for a DM on vacation.
Training & Qualifications
I've played and DM'd D&D for over a decade now. My adventures tend to be over-the-top, full of explosions, and just a little absurd. I tend to be fairly easygoing rules-wise- if you want your character to do something cool, give me a plausible rationale, and I'll run with it. I've also mastered the art of improvising adventures- which has proved priceless, because I've never had a single group capable of not making any situation devolve into complete chaos.
Availability & Preferences
I'm free most evenings and weekends- just get in touch, we can figure out when works!

About Mountain Barber
I'm one of the shambling horde of aspiring authors in Portland. (My nonfiction selections? Not too bad. My fiction? We won't talk about that just yet.) I also read really, really fast. (I'm a natural ...speed reader). I also read all the time, so... I've read more books than is really healthy for me. Want a book recommendation? I might be able to help. Need some editing help or some feedback on your writing? I'm not a trained professional, by any means, but I certainly make a decent beta reader or proofreader. I'm also in school for geology, and previously attended college for history/english. (Not the best career decision). I grew up on a little hippy farm, so that translates into an ability to keep at least a few houseplants alive. I know a truly unnecessary amount of trivia. show moreOpen to other proposals
